The Farm

Stewardship. Land. Animals. Done the Right Way.

Arija Farms operates as a private, invitation-based farm in North Texas—focused on raising animals with intention and restoring the land over time.

THE LAND

Our farm is built on regenerative pastures designed to improve over time. Through rotational grazing and intentional land management, we focus on restoring soil health, strengthening the ecosystem, and working with nature—not against it.

THE ANIMALS

Our Pigs

Heritage

We raise the most incredible heritage breeds of pigs you'll ever taste! Meet the Red Wattle and the Mangalitsa, two breeds that are specially bred to thrive outdoors on pasture, making them healthier and happier than their factory farm counterparts.

The Red Wattle

Hailing from East Texas, known for producing meat that is well-marbled and full of flavor, often compared to that of beef. The lard from our red wattle pigs is of exceptional quality, with a perfect white color. It can be rendered and used for both baking and cooking. You won't find this pork in your local grocery store. Red Wattles are active foragers, making them an ideal choice for pasture-based pig farming.

The Mangalitsa

Also known as the "wooly pig" due to its thick, curly fur, originated in Hungary where it was prized for its lard as well as the making of dry aged pork products. The Mangalitsa was once on the brink of extinction. Now these pigs are hailed as the "Kobe beef of pork" and are highly sought after by chefs and restaurants. Mangalitsas require plenty of outdoor space and take longer to grow out, but the wait is well worth it for their delicious and tender meat.

Pasture

All of our pigs are raised outside, with access to ample pasture to root around on. They are rotated onto fresh areas, ensuring they always have fresh grass and plants to eat creating a healthier animal.

Our Standards

We never use growth hormones, antibiotics, or vaccines on our pigs, instead they are provided with fresh pastures, mud wallows, trees, and a special non-GMO, corn-free, and soy-free feed for optimal nutrition.

Quality comes from time, environment, and care—not shortcuts.

OUR APPROACH

We focus on raising animals the right way—without hormones, antibiotics, or GMOs.

Our approach is simple: prioritize animal welfare, respect the land, and produce food with integrity.

  • Pasture-raised

  • Regenerative practices

  • Heritage breeds

  • No unnecessary inputs

The Meaning Behind "Arija"
